About me

I was born in Rhodes, Greece, on the 24th of January 1972. I lived in Rhodes until 1989, when I moved to Patras for my undergraduate studies. I completed my studies at the Electrical Engineers and Computer Science department of the Polytechnic School of the University of Patras on November 1994.

From 1997 until 2009, after completing my mandatory military service, I have been working as a Computer Scientist - Network Administrator in various Universities. During this time, I have participated in several research and technical projects.

On the 6th of October 2007, I publicly defended my doctorate thesis, with success. The title of my thesis was:
Development of flexible supporting tools for asynchronous discussions, via analysis of interactions among participants, for technology enhanced learning

Since 2021 I am a Full Professorat the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Western Macedonia (previously Adjuct Lecturer, Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor 2008-2021), located in Florina, Greece. The courses that I teach are all related to ICTs in Education. My research interests include: Digital Storytelling, STEAM Education, Game-based Learning, Educational Robotics, Technology Enhanced Learning, Computer Supported Collaborative Learning, Distance Learning, Interaction Analysis

I am married and a father of two lovely children (daughter-son). I live with my family in Florina.

I speak and write English fluently.
